Safeguarding Training – Train Reaction
A safeguarding training course, designed to provide healthcare and social care professionals with the skills, knowledge and understanding needed to effectively safeguard adult patients from abuse.
Who Safeguarding Training is For
This training course is suitable for all those working in a healthcare, social care or community care setting who may be tasked with looking after, caring for or working with adults at risk of abuse.
Safeguarding Course Overview
This course offers an introduction to the principles of safeguarding and aims to provide attendees with the skills needed to identify abuse and report concerns. It covers:
Understanding the concept of safeguarding, and what we mean by the phrase ‘safeguarding adults’
Identifying different categories of abuse
Understanding what an ‘adult at risk’ is
Identifying the signs and behaviours that may indicate abuse is taking place
Understanding the roles and responsibilities of the alerter
Safeguarding adults procedures
Reporting concerns
Safeguarding Adults Course - Delivery and Duration
This course is delivered by Zoom Webinar and provides 2.5 hours of interactive learning. In addition, the course includes 1.5 hours of independent study which will be set by the trainer.
If required, the course can also be delivered in person, either in a classroom setting or at your premises/service. The in-person training is delivered as a 4-hour course.
Assessment
Training includes immediate formative assessment via a test or scenario, and all attendees receive a certificate of completion upon successfully finishing the course.
